I was raised in North Carolina, on the east coast of America. I graduated from East Carolina University with a BA in Psychology, emphasis on Neuroscience, and a minor in Business Administration and French. I began my career as a Student Life Counselor for an International Therapeutic boarding School in North Carolina. While there, I realized I loved helping others, this interaction had taught me I should spread my knowledge and skills abroad. Starting in South Korea, I began teaching English. I continued to teach in the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy and Prague. I have been living in Prague for 5 years now. I have taught a range of ages and levels in both primary and secondary.
I specialize in exam preparation for Cambridge and Trinity. I believe every student deserves to have the best opportunities and support available for them. Encouraging each student to strive for their very best, while maintaining a dynamic, positive environment. My ambition as a learning support teacher is to combine my 10 years of knowledge as an educator with my background in Psychology to create a safe and well balanced atmosphere for learning.
Outside of school, I enjoy snowboarding, and being outdoors. I am always up for an adventure, and truly have a passion for travel. I'm excited for this school year and honoured to be a part of such an impressive school.
