My hometown is a small fishing community in the North east of England where members of my family have been fishermen for over 100 years. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the building industry and travelled a good deal.
I became a teacher when I was 35 after successfully completing my P.G.C.E. in the beautiful location of Ambleside in the Lake District, England. From there I have taught in London, Shanghai, Mexico City, Qatar and Cologne before joining Park Lane. I became a teacher because I thought I may be able to work with children and that it would be a positive experience for both them and myself. I have had the pleasure of teaching primary children for 15 years and have now been involved with secondary for the past 3 years.
I have had the most wonderful experience here at Park Lane having had the opportunity to work with children all the way from Nursery to Year 9 teaching many different subjects.
My teaching philosophy is simple: a safe, happy pupil is one that will have the opportunity to reach their full potential with our guidance and support.
My favourite pastimes are creating art and riding horses.
