Following completion of my master’s degree in English Literature, I worked for a publisher for some years in Oxford before moving to London in 2012 in order to train as a teacher. My first teaching post was in a Surrey Junior School, managing a large Year 5 cohort.
Joining Park Lane last year was my first foray into international teaching. Moving from a school in the Surrey countryside to a city campus amid the bustle of Prague was a challenging step, but one I am glad I decided to take.
I love the enthusiasm of the children at Park Lane; every day, they seem to grow more confident. Their efforts to improve their English proficiency inspire me in my own language studies, and they are always ready to share something new. I find I am constantly learning from their questions – there is never a dull week in class!
