Originating from a small town in South Wales, I gained 3 years experience working in Ipsley Church of England Middle School situated in the suburbs of Birmingham. This was after graduating from Canterbury Christ Church University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS. After returning from a volunteer teaching trip in Uganda, I decided that UK life was no longer for me and wanted to explore teaching in an international setting. For that reason, I found myself in Qatar where I taught for 3 years.
Having exhausted myself with the constant summer season, I decided to return to Europe. As the Czech Republic advertises itself as ‘The Heart of Europe’ there seemed no better place to go and I am currently in my second year of teaching at Park Lane. Here I am Subject Leader for English and Key Stage 2 Leader. I thoroughly enjoy working with the children in this school and am delighted on a daily basis by the skills and talents that they have; they are truly world class and highlight all the positives that an international school has to offer.
