Park Lane´ s Primary Football Team

Girls Football Team
On Thursday 6th April the Year 4 and 5 girls football team travelled to Prague British School to compete in a tournament. The girls created many chances against EISP in their first game pressing the opposition and making the breakthrough late in the second half. In the second match PBS came back strongly after their previous loss to Park Lane and on this occasion PBS won 2-1. Park Lane then came back and beat EISP 1-0 for a second win that afternoon.

Overall the team showed great spirit and support with the team creating a banner and waving it enthusiastically from the sidelines.

Year 3 Football Team
The final of the U8 Football Praha event took place on the 23rd March. The team did exceptionally well to qualify through two stages of the competition to be in the final eight schools in this Prague wide event.

On the day the team were placed in the strongest group with the top two teams winning both semi finals to meet each other again in the final. Park Lane performed well and kept their undefeated run going for the first two games before narrowly missing out on the last four with their first defeat over all events. The team showed a great attitude and resilience by bouncing back with a 2-0 win in the 5th v 6th placed final claiming a trophy in the 5th v 6th placed final. The team should be proud of their teamwork, attitude and performance over all three events and 5th placed finish out of 78 teams.
