After completing a Psychology degree in 2003 back home in South Africa, I went on to do a PGCE in 2006. A stint in marketing and a CELTA in 2008, I went on to teach English in Vietnam in 2009. It was in Vietnam where I met my husband, and we both moved to Swaziland where we taught for two and half years. Hungry for yet more adventure, in 2012, soon after the birth of my first son, we moved to Jordan. Here, I taught A Level Psychology, as well as KS3 English. In 2015, just before the birth of my second son, we moved to Oman for a one year stint, before deciding to explore a new continent. We are now newly settled in Prague, and thoroughly enjoying it's beauty and many family friendly activities.
To further my understanding of teaching and learning, and to continue to develop my interest in Psychology more generally, I am currently studying an Msc Psychology with the University of Roehampton.
I am thrilled to be starting at Parklane as a teaching assistant with some other responsibilities in EAL and am very much looking forward to joining the team.
