I studied Czech language and literature at the Technical University in Liberec and then I completed my Master's Degree in Phonetics at Charles University. While conducting phonetics reseach at elementary schools, I realized that education and working with children make me really happy so during the last year of my Master's program I was also enrolled in a Teaching Course.
I worked at two very different elementary schools: one that was quite traditional and the other that favored a Montessori approach. I had the opportunity to be a classroom teacher while also working with children who weren't native Czech speakers. Both of these schools gave me a lot of new experiences and insight into how I want to teach but I also learned what doesn't work well in teaching children. I have also worked with children with learning disabilities, tutoring them in both language and reading skills. This showed me how important the individual approach in teaching is.
I love travelling with a backpack and without exact plans, reading and dancing, specially lindy hop.
I am grateful to be a part of Park Lane community as a Czech teacher at the Prague 6 Campus and I am looking forward to helping children reach their full potential.
