Irena Kin

Teacher of Biology and Coordinated Science

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science Biology, and a Bachelor of Education at OISE, I worked in Toronto in the public school systems for six years. When an opportunity to work abroad came my way, I embraced the new adventure, and some years later the path led me to Park Lane International school. I have worked in Montenegro, Kazakhstan, France, Korea and finally Czech Republic. Over the years, I have gained much experience in the IB Diploma and Middle Years Programmes, plus IGCSE KS3. I have also taught French and English (ESL).

I love to travel, explore new places, cuisines and cultures, and I try to bring international mindedness into the classroom as often as I can. I am a proponent of scientific literacy and ecology and conservation. I love to bake, swimming is my favourite sport, and scuba diving is something I would love to get back into.
