After completing my Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science I worked as the London Development Officer for Volleyball England. In this role I was based at a Sports College and taught primary and secondary students on a daily basis. I also tutored coaching courses for teachers and organised school competitions.
My own love of outdoor living and sporting participation led me to Melbourne, Australia where I developed my educational philosophy further. Whilst there I worked as a classroom teacher for students with complex learning needs and gained a Graduate Diploma in Education specialising in Physical Education and English as an Additional Language.
I believe PE plays a crucial role in fostering a lifelong love of active participation; healthy living, and also develops student’s cognitive and leadership skills.
My hobbies include football, beach volleyball, salsa and snowboarding.
