Arts Alive concert

Dear EYFS and Primary Parents,

I would like to promote and interest you in the Primary Arts highlight of the year namely our Arts Alive concert on Tuesday 7 May 2019 at 18.30.  Arts Alive is a new concert to showcase the Music, Art and Film Making in the EYFS and Primary Schools. The pupils and staff have been very busy planning and preparing for this concert to be held in The Museum of Music.

Miss Amy, co-ordinating the Music:
I will be conducting three exciting new songs with the Park Lane Choir. Our Choir wishes to showcase  their new challenges of different harmonies and backing vocals. I will be showcasing our extraordinary  musical talent with a variety of performances from our primary pupils. Including a performance from Mr  Honza's guitar group. We also have an exciting djembe drumming performance to showcase the  children's learning during their Music lessons. There will also be 2 guests soloists performing in the  concert.

Miss Ewelina, co-ordinating the Art:
At Arts Alive Exhibition I would like to display 20 pieces of children’s artwork from three different age groups EYFS, KS1 and KS2. My aim is to present how art enables children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern and different materials and processes. The art collection will include different techniques going under categories painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, 3D objects. All the artwork will be presented in a simple and professional manner.

Miss Emerald and Miss Esther, co-ordinating the Film Making:
This year at Arts Alive, we will be presenting a series of films that explore different genres in movie history. Each year group will present their own unique take on filmmaking. Look forward to seeing animation, documentaries, a musical and so much more!  The children experienced a unique, insider look into just how much goes into creating movie magic. In addition to these fantastic productions, we will screen a whole school project that will truly showcase our school’s talent, pride, and enthusiasm in working together as a “family”.

Tickets for the concert will be available at each of the school offices from Tuesday 9 April 2019. 2 tickets per family will be made available.

We look forward to seeing you all there !

Mr Joe Eyles
Head of Primary and EYFS
