The US SAT Tests
UNIVERSITY AND CAREERS UPDATES
A first ever for Park Lane: The US SAT Tests
In what has felt like a marathon of paperwork, as well as a race against the clock, I am pleased to announce that Park Lane International School has become an officially registered test centre through the US College Board for the SAT tests.
We are only the second SAT registered test centre in Prague, and the third in all of the Czech Republic! Several of our Y-12 students registered by April 5th to sit for the SAT at Park Lane on May 4th.
The SAT is the standarised university entry exam which is usually a required component for applying to US universities. It is held several times a year and covers three key components: Reading, Writing & Language, and Maths. There is also an optional Essay component which may be recommended or required, depending on the university.
Our Year-12 students who plan on applying to US universities have already attended two SAT Workshops with me which includes an overview of the test, the registration process, access to free SAT practice tests and details to verified and experiences SAT tutors.
In autumn, our upcoming Year-13 and Year-12 students will be able to take (or re-take) the SAT at the end of October 2019 and/or at the beginning of December 2019. Year-12s can also sit the exam in spring of 2020.
Special thanks goes to our Principle, Mr Paul Ingarfield, Ms Jana Ridelova and our school’s HR team for all their help and support in getting this off the ground so quickly. Onwards and upwards….
