Charlie Watts
I arrived at Park Lane in August 2017 in the 10th year of my teaching career having taught Geography and History for 9 years in the UK, Vietnam and Canada. My passion for Geography has taken me to locations all over the world and in all my schools I have tried to give students the opportunity to gain first-hand Geographical experience in locations such as Volcanic Landscapes in Iceland, Vietnamese Rainforests and Ancient Pompeii. When it has not been possible to see them at first hand, I have done my best to bring Geographic landscapes alive in my classroom.
Although I have been teaching for almost a decade, my enthusiasm for my career has not waned in the slightest and my fervour has been aided by 9 years of experience that has helped my students achieve very highly. The students I have worked with have consistently achieved excellent grades, including some who achieved the best grades in the world. I have been very fortunate to work with some amazing young people and I know that this will continue at Park Lane. My most recent school is very similar to Park Lane in that it is a growing school which is developing year on year. I am excited to be able to contribute to the school’s development.
