A child psychologist visits the school regularly to meet with teachers and answer their questions and to offer advice. The psychologist's assistance may involve observing classroom activities and talking with children. If necessary, private consultations can be arranged with parents, to take place at the school or at the psychologist's office.
A test for measuring maturity and readiness to begin elementary school may also be arranged if parents have concerns about their child adapting to school.
