Our Philosophy

‘Every Child Matters’


Our school philosophy is 'Every Child Matters'. This statement is based on an English government document with the same name.

Although worded very simply we take this to encompass all aspects of a child's enjoyment of school, their well-being and health, their safety, their increasing independence and their moral and physical growth. It matters to us how children learn and develop. We encourage the development of social skills and motivate the children to be the best that they can be.

We place an emphasis on ‘learning by doing’ and will provide children with opportunities to participate in many hands-on projects and experiential learning. Individualism is important to our staff and we have a very child-centred approach to teaching and learning. We believe in the fundamental importance of educating the ‘whole’ child and providing an enhancing and creative environment that will support, educate and nurture young learners.
