We are offering Year 5 classes at our Prague 6 site - Střešovice (Norbertov 3) and from September 2013 at our new Prague 1 site - Malá Strana (Valdštejnská 151).
Maths and Science Days (11 - 13th February 2013)
Year 5S Assembly about Friendship Last Friday Year 5 presented a class assembly about Friendship. We spent the whole week thinking about what makes a good friend, how to act positively towards our friends and how to build good relationships. We have also been learning about instruction writing in Literacy and so, as part of our assembly, we created a 'Recipe for Friendship' which utilised our knowledge of imperative verbs, alliteration and time connectives. Year 5 delivered their personal writing, recipes and poetry in a clear and confident style. Well done 5S! Miss Susan Friend, 5S
Week 5 in Year 5 5S have now finished reading Phillip Pullman's 'The Firework Maker's Daughter' and are beginning to write their own stories based on the themes of fantasy and adventure. We have spent a long time looking at the openers to our stories and creating interesting and exciting ways to 'hook' our readers. The class have written, shared and edited their writing showing their developing skills and maturity. Well done Year 5!
