Maths and Science Fun Days (11 - 13th February 2013)
During Maths and Science Fun Days we tried very hard to design and make chairs only using newspaper and sellotape. We had to think about using strong shapes to try to make them stable! We managed to make our chairs stand up but we couldn't sit on them only our ted could! |

UNICEF Day for Change (8.2.2013)
Day for Change was great! We learnt a lot about what children in Kenya eat and compared this to our diets. We wrote and performed some fantastic poems all about our favourite food! |

Week 7 in Year 3
This week 3L, have been working very hard in Literacy! We have been learning all about writing reports and had to go through many stages to complete our animal reports. First, we learnt what a report looked like and found out that we needed to include headings, sub-headings, paragraphs and lots of wonderful facts! Next, we learnt how to take notes so we could research one of our favourite animals! We used the kids’ National Geographic website to find our information. Some of the most important skills we learnt about were how to work together to help each other, listening and sharing our ideas. We are very proud of our finished reports! In 3J we have had so much fun this term learning our multiplications and practising our number bonds. This week we have been using the internet to find out facts about an animal and make notes, so we can write our own report! In Topic we are beginning to learn about the Roman and Celtic ways of life and we have made some Roman mosaic portraits. |
