Historic Tram Ride (March 2013)
As part of our current topic, ‘City Comparisons’, Year 2 enjoyed a historic tram ride through central Prague with our very own tour guide, Mr Adam. Children enjoyed learning all about historic Prague and answered some tricky quiz questions. We hopped off the tram to enjoy the Easter markets in Old Town Square and had a look around the waxworks museum. It was a fun-filled trip for all. |

Maths and Science Fun Days (11 - 13th February 2013)
In Science the children had lots of fun experimenting with sound and found out that all sounds come from vibrations. The children learned to make a simple duck call using a straw.
In Maths the children worked together to solve a range of problems. |

Week 8 in Year 2
This week 2R, have been working very hard in Maths! We have been learning all about measuring units of time. We began by learning to tell the time and recognise that there are 24 hours in a day. We then practised ordering the days of the week and months of the year through songs and creating calendars. Please check Year 2R's Fronter page to hear our days of the week song. |

Week 5 in Y2R
This week in Literacy, Year 2R have been exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Through role play we were able to act out the story and learn about speech bubbles and speech marks in our Big Writing. |

Week 2 in Year 2
This week our Year 2 students began their swimming lessons at Hotel Pyramida . As you can see from the photos below, the children thoroughly enjoyed their first lessons. Well done Year 2 - we look forward to seeing how you progress in the weeks ahead.
