Our School Day

Our academic programme in the primary school runs Monday to Friday from 8.30 or 9.00 to 15.15. We also offer  morning supervision starting at 8.00 and after club supervision until 17.00 for parents who need to drop off or pick up their children outside our regular school hours.

We recommend that you arrive with your child 10 minutes prior to the school start. Upon arrival, we ask that you help your child to take off their coat and change into their indoor shoes. We then request that you take your child to their classroom. For reasons of safety, children are not to be left unsupervised in the cloakroom or in the corridors. The school day starts promptly at 8.30 or 9.00, depending on the age of the children. We ask that all children from Nursery to Year 1 are in class ready for registration and to begin their first activity by 9.00. Students in Year 2 and above begin lessons at 8.30am. It can be quite unsettling for children to arrive late and miss the teacher’s introduction to the day.

Pick up times
The pick up time for all classes is 15.15 unless children are staying for an after-school club or after-school supervision. It is possible to arrange alternative pick up times if necessary and parents are kindly requested to note any variations to the regular arrangements on their child's home-school communication log. 

Change of pick up arrangements
If, for any reason, your pick up arrangements change during the day, please contact the school office immediately. Please note that if the new arrangements include a person not listed as a third party in your child’s enrolment form, they will be required to present a valid form of photo identification such as a passport or National ID Card to the office before being permitted to collect your child. There are no exceptions to this rule as your child’s safety is paramount.
