After completing the CELTA English language teaching qualification in 2008, I moved to South Korea to teach at a private education academy, where I worked with students aged from eight to eighteen years. On my return to the UK, I studied for a postgraduate teaching qualification, specializing in Government and Politics, while continuing to teach English to adult learners in the private sector. I have lived in Czech Republic since January 2013, initially working in Brno where I taught English in industry.
I began work at Park Lane in August 2013, and spent two years as a Teaching Assistant with the Primary department. In 2015 I took on the role of EAL Coordinator across both Primary and Secondary schools at the Valdštejnská campus, and in 2016 I became Lead Teacher of Global Perspectives IGCSE. I have a passion for teaching and learning, and particularly enjoy seeing students begin to question and develop their own world view. In my spare time I enjoy running, rock climbing and studying Czech.
