The IB Diploma Programme at Park Lane International School – How Are We Doing?
In 2023-24, Park Lane’s graduating Class of 2025 becomes the school’s sixth cohort of Year 12 students to begin the two-year IB Diploma Programme, moving up the hill from the Klárov branch to join our new Year 13 students at our bespoke IB Diploma centre in Úvoz street.
At Park Lane International School, all students advancing into Year 12 take on the challenges of the full IB Diploma Programme with no exceptions or alternative academic pathways – thus, by the time of their graduation in June 2025, this year’s IB newcomers will join more than 220 students to have completed the IBDP journey at Park Lane.

What Students & Parents Say about Parklane International School
Hello hello, I am Laura and I graduated in the very chaotic year of 2021. I am hopefully going to be attending a double degree at the universities Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích and Johannes Kepler Universität. Park Lane is the only school I ever attended, so it is a given that I will miss it greatly, but I am also looking forward to my university studies. What I will miss the most is the supportive community of teachers and students that helped me grow and overcome challenges as well as create fond memories. All the hours spent writing essays and studying for tests together with the valuable feedback and constructive criticism I received have helped me improve on skills that I am sure I will be relying on at university, and I can't wait to put them to the test!

“Our highly professional teachers and teaching partners do everything in their power to make each new learning experience as engaging, meaningful and memorable as possible” Mr Paul Ingarfield, Principal
Erica Warne
Originally from the West Country in the UK, I come from a family of teachers; both maternal grandparents were primary school senior leaders and my mother also worked in secondary education for the duration of her career. I carried out my teacher training in Bath in 2005 and my first teaching post was at a large, high performing comprehensive school in Wiltshire where I was appointed first as a teacher of English, then later as Key stage 3 Coordinator for English during my 5 years at the school. After visiting a teacher friend working in Cairo, I decided that pursuing my career abroad would be a fantastic way for me to develop professionally, whilst seeing more of the world. In 2011 I travelled to Jordan, where I spent 4 years working as Faculty Leader for English and Psychology at a prominent international school. I joined Park Lane in 2015 as Subject Leader for English and was promoted to Deputy Head of Secondary in January 2016. It is a role I have been honoured to take on and one that I care about passionately. Park Lane is a wonderful place to work and I am incredibly fortunate to help lead such talented students and inspiring staff. In addition to teaching, I will complete my MA in Education at the University of Bath in May 2020 and I am a founding member of @WomenEdCzech who organise free and low-cost professional development and networking opportunities for teachers in Prague and beyond. My husband, Alex works as the Subject Leader for Humanities here at Park Lane and both of my children are very happy members of the Park Lane EYFS and primary school community.
